Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan made the statement when receiving Director of UNESCO’s World Heritage Center Kishore Rao in Hanoi on September 10.
He appreciated the close cooperation between the center and the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO in the past years.
He also thanked the director for his assistance to Vietnamese agencies’ compilation of dossiers on “Trang An and Cat Ba beauty spots”.
Nhan said he hopes that the UNESCO centre will support Vietnam in preparing or compiling any dossier before sending it to the parent organisation.
Kishore Rao expressed his belief that Vietnam will do its best to well preserve the UNESCO-recognised tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
