They reviewed Vietnam-Russia cooperation in recent times and agreed on measures to realise the agreements reached by their top leaders, aimed at further strengthening bilateral strategic partnership in the future.
The two Foreign Ministries will work closely to prepare for high-level visits by their leaders to Vietnam and Russia this year.
They discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation in economics and trade, including in oil and gas and nuclear power.
The two deputy FMs also exchanged measures to increase cooperation between their Foreign Ministries, as well as coordination at regional and international forums such as the United Nations, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the East Asia Summit (EAS), the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), and the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF).
