The Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations, Nguyen Van Kien, entrusted a new task to the association at its fifth congress in Hanoi on November 27.
He suggested that in its 2011-2016 term the association focus on activities aimed at bolstering bilateral cooperation in economics, trade, culture, education, arts and tourism.
Another important task is to expand the network of people-to-people agencies to facilitate the Party’s foreign affairs and the State’s diplomacy, said Kien.
In the previous term, the association organised two trips back to Romania for Vietnamese alumni and launched trade promotion activities in the European nation.
It supported the Vietnamese Embassy and Romanian delegations in exploring economic operations in Vietnam.
The association, in collaboration with the Vietnamese Embassy, organised various activities to mark Romania’s National Day and the 60th anniversary of Vietnam-Romania diplomatic ties, published a Special Issue on Vietnam-Romania Friendship and Dang Thuy Tram’s Diary in Romanian.
The congress elected a new 55-member executive board, with Tong Van Nga re-elected as President.Bình luận của bạn đang được xem xét
