Vietnam and the Republic of Korea should boost cultural exchange and enhance mutual understanding between their people apart from promoting cooperation in trade and investment, Deputy PM Pham Gia Khiem told the visiting Chairman of the Korea Tripartite Commission, Cho Sung-joon, during a reception in Hanoi on January 29.

Over the past years, the Korea Tripartite Commission has held exchange activities and shared experiences with Vietnamese agencies including the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Vietnam Confederation of Labour and the Vietnam Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Chairman Cho Sung Joon expressed his appreciation for Vietnam’s strong development in recent years and his wish to strengthen labour cooperation between the two countries.

He said that RoK enterprises are very satisfied with the investment environment in Vietnam and will enter the Vietnamese market soon.

Deputy PM Pham Gia Khiem said he is delighted at the fine development of Vietnam-RoK relations in the fields of politics, economics, culture, education and labour after 15 years of establishing diplomatic ties.

Deputy PM expressed his hope that the commission will continue to closely cooperate with relevant Vietnamese agencies on labour-related issues.
