•  DPRK’s preparation for satellite launch

Vietnam Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesperson Luong Thanh Nghi made this statement on April 13 in response to media questions about Vietnam’s reaction to the DPRK’s launch of the Kwangmyongsong-3 satellite.

Vietnam always wishes for a peaceful, stable and prosperous Korean peninsula and it once again affirms the necessity of strictly abiding by UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 1874 on peace and stability in the region and the world. The country will also continue to closely follow the developments on the Korean peninsula, Mr Nghi said.
