Vietnam represented at Turkey security and defence expo
VOV.VN - Lieut. Gen. Phung Si Tan, deputy chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, attended the security and defence exhibition SEDEC 2022 from June 28 to June 30 in the Turkish capital of Ankara.
The SEDEC is one of the largest events of its kind in Western Asia and is being held biennially under the patronage of the Turkish Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB).
This year’s function brought together more than 300 exhibitors operating in the defence and security industry from 51 countries globally. It featured not only several exhibitions, but also symposiums on domestic security, border security, information, and cyber security, as well as business meetings.
As part of his trip, Lieut. Gen. Tan met with Ismail Demir, head of the SSB, and Hilal Unal, head of the SEDEC 2022 organising committee, to learn from Turkey’s experience in holding international defence expos. He also took the opportunity to invite Turkish exhibitors to the Vietnam Defence 2022, the first international defence exhibition, which will be held in Vietnam in December.
