At the reception, Minister Thanh said he hoped that the visit would contribute to strengthening the friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries’ army and people in the future.

For his part, Viorel Oancea said he was pleased to visit Vietnam and witness the country’s achievement in the national construction and development process.

During the visit, he held talks Lieutenant General Le Huu Duc, Deputy Minister of Defence.

An agreement on defence cooperation between the Vietnamese Government and the Romanian Government was signed during the visit.
