The spokesperson of the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry, Luong Thanh Nghi, has reaffirmed Vietnam’s indisputable sovereignty over its Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago.

Nghi said that the trial voyage of China’s cruise ship 'Coconut Princess’ from Sanya to Vietnam’s Hoang Sa island, as reported by China’s Xinhua News Agency on April 7 seriously violates Vietnam’s sovereignty.
Vietnam urges China to stop its action and strictly comply with the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC), so as not to complicate the situation in the East Sea.
