Vietnam ready to partner with Laos across multiple fields

VOV.VN - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc affirmed Vietnam’s readiness to partner with Laos across a variety of fields, including inspection at a reception in Hanoi on August 15 for Lao Deputy Prime Minister, Politburo member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Bounthong Chitmany.

At the reception for Bounthong Chitmany who is also head of the LPRP Central Committee’s Inspection Commission and President of the Government Inspection Authority, PM Phuc showed his confidence that the Lao official’s visit will help foster the friendship and special solidarity between the two nations.

He congratulated the Lao people on the great achievements they recorded under the sound leadership of the LPRP, which he said, was partly attributable to the important role of the Inspection Commission.

Phuc assured Vietnam’s determination to realize agreements reached by the two Politburos, including accelerating key transportation projects. He also consented to work closely with Laos to hold party congresses at all levels.

Chitmany, in turn, said his visit aims to carry out agreements reached between the two inspection commissions and government inspectorates.

The Lao government has always made efforts to remove barriers towards drawing more Vietnamese investment into the country, noting that Vietnam’s projects have contributed to Laos’ socio-economic development.
Laos is organizing party congresses at all levels and desires to learn from Vietnam’s experience in the work, he told his host.
