The statement was made by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung at a meeting with his Cambodian counterpart Hun Sen in Bali on November 16, after the Vietnam PM arrived for the 19th ASEAN Summit and related summits taking place from November 17-19.
At the meeting, the two PMs said they were pleased to see that the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries is growing, and paying off well, particularly in economics, trade and investment.
They said they will continue to direct theire relevant agencies to speed up border demarcation and border marker planting so as to complete the work before late 2012.
PM Hun Sen confirmed that the Royal Cambodian Government will create the best possible conditions for Vietnamese nationals to integrate into local communities well.
He expressed hope that Vietnam will help Cambodia to fulfil its ASEAN Presidency role in 2012.
