A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), led by Hoang Binh Quan, Head of the CPV’s External Affairs Commission, has paid a working visit to the Philippines from March 6-10.

During their stay, the Vietnamese guests held working sessions with politicians, diplomats and parliamentarians of the host country.

Both sides exchanged information on the situation in their respective countries and discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern.

They agreed to boost bilateral comprehensive cooperation, especially between parliamentary and diplomatic agencies of the two countries, through the exchange of information and visiting delegations.

Vietnamese delegates briefed Filipino officials on Vietnam’s implementation of the 11th Party Congress Resolution and its policies on external relations, affirming that the country always attaches great importance to strengthening relationships with neighbouring nations for peace, stability, development and cooperation in the region.

They also met with officials of the Vietnamese Embassy and visited President Ho Chi Minh’s monument in Manila.
