Vietnam opposes China fishing ban
Vietnam opposes the Chinese Department of Fisheries’ ban on fishing in the East Sea, says Le Thanh Nghi, spokesman of the Foreign Ministry.
Nghi made the statement on May 15 in response to reporters’ questions about Vietnam’s reaction to the department declaring its fishing ban in the East Sea between May 16 and August 1.
“Vietnam’s stance on this issue was clearly announced on January 20. Vietnam opposes China’s unilateral decision and considers this as invalid, he said.
