A Vietnamese delegation from the National Assembly’s Committee for External Relation Affairs led by its chairman, Nguyen Van Son has paid a three-day visit to Libya in North Africa.
During their stay from May 17-19, the delegation met with the secretaries of the General People's Congress, the General People's Committee for Foreign Liaison & Intl Cooperation, the General People's Committee for Public Works and the President of the Libya sub-committee in the Vietnam-Libya inter-government committee.
The Libyan officials said they will help strengthen the ties of traditional friendship and co-operation between the two countries.
In reply, Mr Son praised Libya’s achievements over the past 40 years since the Fatah Revolution and thanked Libya for support Vietnam during its part struggles for national liberation and the current process of national construction and development.
Both sides discussed measures to boost co-operation between the two parliaments and two countries for their mutual benefit.
During their stay in Libya, the delegation also visited the Vietnamese Embassy in the capital Tripoli.
