Vietnam, Laos strengthen legislative links

The Lao National Assembly (NA) wants to continue receiving the Vietnamese  NA’s assistance in personnel training and experience sharing in the time to come.

Head of the Lao NA Office Ounkeo Vouthilath made the remark with NA Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong in Hanoi on November 2.

Phong said the Vietnamese legislative body always creates all possible favourable conditions to step up cooperation between the two NA offices.

She said she believes cooperation between the two legislative bodies and their offices in particular will increasingly develop, matching the special ties between the two Parties, States and peoples.

Earlier, Vouthilath held talks with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Hanh Phuc, during which, the two sides agreed to increase bilateral cooperation in Vietnamese language training, communications, information technology, scientific research, personnel training and exchange of experts.

Under the witness of Phong, both host and guest signed a new cooperation agreement between the two NA offices.
