Signatories were Vu Thi Minh Huong, head of the State Department for Records and Archives of Vietnam and Oun kham L.Southivong, head of the Laos National Archives Department.

Under the MoUs, both sides highlighted the results of cooperation in recent years and agreed to work closely to put into operation the National Archives Centre in Vientiane in the first quarter of 2011.

In addition, Vietnam will continue to help Laos in personnel training, technology transfer and management of the centre.

The two sides will also ask their government permission to exchange a list of documents and information related to the history of both countries and share experiences in archive skills.
