Vietnam keen to augment all-around cooperation with Romania

VOV.VN - The nation treasures and desires to continue further deepening time-honoured friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Romania.

Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son was speaking this during a reception in Hanoi on October 19 for Romanian Ambassador to Vietnam Cristina Romila.

The Vietnamese diplomat thanked Romania for providing active and effective support for Vietnam to accelerate the signing of the European Union – Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).

He highlighted Romania as one of the first three EU member states to adopt the EVFTA and suggested both sides work hand in hand to effectively carry out the deal for both nations’ mutual benefit.

Son thanked the Romanian Government and people for offering 300,000 AstraZeneca doses and staying ready to transfer a large number of vaccines in non-commercial principles to Vietnam.

In response, the Romanian Ambassador affirmed that in her position, she and the Romanian Embassy in Hanoi will serve as a bridge strengthening bilateral friendship and collaboration as expected by the two countries’ leaders.
