State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) Chief Auditor Vuong Dinh Hue and Chairman of the Supreme Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BKPRI) Hadi Poernomo has discussed possibilities for bilateral audit cooperation.

During the talks held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on May 24, the two sides touched on measures to promote the development of the Asian Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) through its working groups.

They agreed on the need to accelerate the establishment of the supreme audit institution of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN SAI) with four co-founders: Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Brunei.

BKPRI Chairman Hadi Poernomo welcomed the first visit to Indonesia by SAV Chief Auditor Hue which, he said, has laid a foundation for close cooperation between BKPRI and SAV.

He briefed the guests on BKPRI activities and the country’s plan to set up an e-audit committee to increase the accuracy and effectiveness of state audit activities.
While in Indonesia from May 23-27, SAV Chief Auditor Hue was scheduled to pay a courtesy visit to Indonesian House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Promono Anung Wibowo and hold a working session with the Indonesia State Audit Agency in Bali to discuss possibilities for cooperation between SAV and BKPRI affiliates.
