This was emphasized by Senior lieutenant-general Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy Minister of National Defence and Indian Ambassador Ranjit Rae at a meeting in Hanoi on September 11.

The meeting was in preparation for the 7^th Vietnam-India Strategic Defence Dialogue which will focus on promoting strategic cooperation in defence, army medicine, search and rescue and personnel training.

On the occasion, the Indian Ambassador conveyed the Indian Defence Minister’s invitation to Vietnamese counterpart, Phung Quang Thanh to visit India at an appropriate time.
