PM Dung emphasized this at a reception for the Lord Mayor of the City of London , Michael Bear and the United Kingdom business delegation in Hanoi on March 22.
At the meeting, Mr. Dung expressed his pleasure at Mayor Michael Bear’s visit to Vietnam, saying that it is an important landmark to highlight developments in the two countries’ relationship, especially after the two countries signed an agreement on a plan of action under the framework of their strategic partnership.
The Government leader spoke highly of the results of the seminar between the UK Enterprises Delegation and the Ministry of Planning and Investment on implementing public-private projects and hoped the Mayor will help boost the plan on establishing a new financial and commercial centre in Hanoi in the future.
Vietnam will create favourable conditions for UK businesses to invest in various fields including aviation, petroleum and banking.
Mayor Michael Bear thanked the PM for his warm reception and said that British businesses would like to be involved in Vietnam’s huge development programmes, highlighting that the UK will be ready to share its experiences to help implement public-private projects in Vietnam as well as assist with the construction of a financial and commercial centre in Hanoi.
**On the same day, the Lord Mayor attended a round table conference on the development of Hanoi’s new trade and financial centre.
He said on the sidelines of the conference that London will focus on infrastructure development through the public-private partnership (PPP) form; financial services, how to build a financial centre and to improve the banking and insurance systems; and education and training.
The development of a new trade and financial centre in Hanoi is part of the UK’s scheme to double bilateral trade between the two countries to US$4 billion per year, he said.Bình luận của bạn đang được xem xét
