The Russian citizens honoured include President of Gazprom Oil and Gas Corporation, Aleksey Miller (Labour Order, first class), General Director of ZAO Gazprom Zarubezhneftegaz, Valery Gulev (Labour Order, second class) and Russia’s former president of the Academy of Technological Sciences, Boris Nikitin (Friendship Order).
Feliks Arzhanov, former general director of Vietsovpetro joint venture was also awarded the Labour Order, first class.
Addressing the ceremony held at the Vietnamese embassy and the headquarters of the Gazprom Oil and Gas Corporation in Moscow, Ambassador Bui Dinh Dinh stated that along with the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Russia, bilateral economic ties in recent years have developed rapidly. The Russian-Vietnamese oil and gas joint venture, Vietsovpetro, is a typical example of effective cooperation between the two nations in the oil and gas field.
The presentation of the awards reflects the gratitude of the Vietnamese government and people for Russia’s contributions to strengthening and consolidating the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia.
Mr Boris Nikitin expressed thanks to the Vietnamese State and government for their good sentiments towards him and expressed his delight at Vietnam’s rapid development.
