The "Vietnam Glory" program honours 21 collectives and individuals that have been awarded the “Labour Hero” title as well as exemplary role models from patriotic emulation movements.

The 9th ”Vietnam Glory” Program was held on December 18 in Hanoi in the presence of State President Truong Tan Sang; Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour  Dang Ngoc Tung; Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Pham Hai Chuyen; Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan; and Head of the Supreme People’s Procuracy Nguyen Hoa Binh; along with representatives from different ministries and sectors.

The 21 outstanding collectives and individuals are shining examples in different fields including labour production and crime prevention and control.

They have all tirelessly efforts devoted their brainpower and creativity to the process of national construction and defence and symbolize the spirit, iron will and strength of the Vietnamese people in the new era.

Such events contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of patriotic emulation movements and encourage the entire population to become involved in and work towards national development.

President Sang and the Organizing Board presented flowers and insignias to the individuals and collectives honoured in the program.

The event was held by the Lao Dong (Labour) Newspaper, Vietnam Television, and the Asia Friendship Company under the guidance of the Central Council for Emulation and Reward and the General Political Department of the Vietnam People’s Army.
