The Vietnam and German Ministries of Foreign Affairs on October 23 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on implementing German Year in Vietnam and Vietnamese Year in Germany in 2010.
2010 will mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Germany (September 23, 1975 - September 23, 2010).
The aim is to boost the friendship between the two countries, strengthen economic ties, and attract investment by German enterprises in Vietnam.
It is also an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to learn more about business opportunities in Germany, and promote the image of Vietnam to the German people through diverse activities in economics, politics and culture.
