Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Gia Khiem sent messages of condolences to the Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi over the devastating earthquakes which caused severe damage to both life and property.

The earthquake, measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale, jolted Yingjiang county of Yunnan province at midday on March 10.
