The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) attaches importance to its traditional relationship with the Hungarian Socialist Party (HSP), said the Secretary of the CPV Central Committee.

To Huy Rua, who is also Head of the CPVCC’s Commission for Information and Education, made the statement while receiving member of the Hungarian Socialist Party’s Presidium Lajos Olah in Hanoi on April 2.

Mr Rua highlighted the contributions of Olah, who is also State Secretary of the Hungarian Ministry of Transport, Telecommunications and Energy as well as President of the Vietnam-Hungary Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation, in promoting multifaceted two-way cooperation.

He said he hoped the ties between the two Parties will help consolidate and develop the fine relationship between the two countries.

For his part, Lajos Olah assured his host that his government values the traditional friendly and cooperative relations with Vietnam and will actively implement bilateral agreements for their mutual benefit.
