The State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) announced on October 19 that it has been elected to the executive board of the Asian Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) at its 11th congress held in Pakistan recently.
Vietnam’s election to the ASOSAI’s executive board affirmed the nation’s growing prestige in general and that of the SAV in particular, and has created a chance for the SAV to take a more meaningful part in working out and implementing measures to ensure the sustainable and harmonious development of ASOSAI.

The new ASOSAI executive board comprises Pakistan, the Republic of Korea, India, Bangladesh, Kuwait, Japan, Iraq, China, Turkey and Vietnam.

At the congress, SAV Auditor General Vuong Dinh Hue presented a speech, emphasising the role played by the state audit in improving public spending capacity.

Hue also held meetings with the heads of delegations from 10 participating nations, and signed a cooperation agreement with the State Audit of Kuwait.

Following the congress, the executive board convened its 41st meeting where Vietnam was officially selected to host the 42nd meeting.
