A delegation from the Danish Parliament, led by its Speaker Mogens Lykketoft  on March 6 worked with a delegation from the Vietnamese National Assembly Committees, led by Tran Van Hang, Head of the Committee of External Relations.

Hang highly valued the Danish delegation’s visit, saying it will promote and deepen cooperation between the two legislative bodies and the two countries.

The visit will open new opportunities to boost bilateral, regional and international cooperation, he said.

Hang highlighted the development of Vietnam-EU relations and said he hopes Denmark will be the gateway for Vietnam to cooperate with European countries.

The two sides discussed the organizational structure and functions of their Parliaments as well as issues of mutual concern. They agreed to share experiences in boosting bilateral relations, fulfilling socio-economic development targets, and curbing inflation.

** The same day, Speaker Lykketoft and his entourage laid a wreath in tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh at his Mausoleum.
