Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Committee for External Affairs Tran Van Hang made this statement in Hanoi on August 8 while receiving a delegation from the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSCM) led by its Chairman Vojtech Filip, who is also Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Czech Chamber of Deputies.
Chairman Hang said he is pleased with the positive developments in relations between the two countries, as well as relations between the two legislative bodies, adding that Vietnam attaches great importance to its time-honoured friendship and all-round cooperation with the Czech Republic and the EU.
Exchange visits have allowed NA leaders to share experiences in improving the quality of law-making in order to improve the operational efficiency of the Vietnamese NA in the future, said Mr Hang.
Consolidating the friendship and long-term cooperation with the Czech Republic and traditional friends is one of the priorities in Vietnam’s external policy. Vietnam thanks the Czech Republic for creating favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community in the country to work and study, which creates a bridge of friendship and strengthens ties between the two nations.
Chairman Vojtech Filip briefed Mr Hang on the main aspects of the recent situation in his country and said he was very pleased with the fine development of relations between the two NAs.
He said he hopes that the two NAs will continue promoting information exchanges and collaborate at multilateral forums to solidify the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic.
Chairman Filip also asked the two sides to provide legal support and develop common standard business regulations in the future.
