Vietnam concerned over DPRK satellite launch

(VOV) - Vietnam is concerned about the recent announcement of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)’s Committee for Space Technology to launch its Kwangmyongsong-3 satellite.

The statement was made by the spokesperson of the Vietnamese Foreign Affairs Ministry Luong Thanh Nghi while answering questions from the media.

He said, “We want a Korean peninsular of peace, stability and prosperity.” On this basis, Nghi said, “We want relevant parties to strictly follow the Resolution 1874 of the UN Security Council and not to make any actions that do harm to peace and stability in the region.”
