At the meeting, Lieut. Gen Thu spoke highly of fruitful cooperation between the two countries’ engineer corps in exchanging professional skills in bomb and mine clearance, building defence establishments, using special equipments in training and coping with natural disasters. 

Vietnam was asked to help Cambodia set up an army engineer school and provide technical training for the Cambodian Royal Army’s engineers.
