• Vietnamese, Cambodian women boost cooperation 

At a reception for the Chairman of the Cambodian Senate’s Committee on Finance, Banking and Audit in Hanoi on August 28, National Assembly Vice Chairman Huynh Ngoc Son underscored the significant role of the two countries’ legislative bodies in making the legal framework and policies for the development of bilateral investment cooperation to match with both sides’ potential and desires. 

For his part, Chea Cheth said he hopes Vietnam will further assist Cambodia in various domains. 

The same day, Chea Cheth had a meeting with Head of the Vietnamese NA’s Economic Committee Nguyen Van Giau who underlined the close relationship among the three Indochinese countries in general and between Vietnam and Cambodia in particular. 

The two governments have facilitated trade and cooperation activities among the two countries’ businesses and two-way trade recorded a strong increase year on year, Giau added. 

The Cambodian guest proposed Vietnam support Cambodia in implementing oil and gas exploitation projects at sea and building legal frameworks in these activities.
