The Vietnamese Government, army and people always attach importance to developing solidarity and friendship with the people and army of Cambodia, a high-ranking military officer has said.
Lieut. Gen. Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), told General Hing Bun Hieng, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Cambodian Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Guard Force during their meeting in Hanoi on November 28.
The defence cooperation has been effectively implemented in many areas, significantly contributing to bolstering the friendship between the two countries and armies, Ty said.
General Hing Bun Hieng informed his host of the results of his meeting with a delegation of the Security Safeguarding Department of the VPA’s General Department of Politics, led by Major General Le Thanh Phuong.
