Vietnam and Brunei have great potential for further cooperation, especially in trade, investment, education and training, human resources, tourism and aviation.

Visiting Vice State President Truong My Hoa and Brunei's Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, shared the view at their meeting in Brunei on March 26.

The two senior officials expressed their pleasure at the fine development of bilateral traditional ties and multifaceted cooperation. They also highly valued the launching of a direct air route, which will facilitate the cooperation between the two countries.

Brunei's minister said he believes that Vice President Hoa's ongoing four-day visit will contribute to promoting bilateral friendship and cooperation, especially on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Vietnam-Brunei diplomatic ties (1992-2007).

The Vice State President extended her thanks to Brunei's support to Vietnam's entering the World Trade Organisation (WTO) as well as its candidacy for a 2008-2009 non-permanent seat in the UN Security Council.
