Belgium’s Wallonie Region will create the most favourable conditions for increased co-operation with Vietnam in all fields, Chairman of the Parliament of the Wallonie Region, Jose Happart confirmed at a meeting with National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong in Hanoi on February 26.
Mr Trong told the guest about Vietnam’s socio-economic development and NA renewal performance in the process of national industrilisation and modernization. He attributed the achievements to the strengthening of national great unity and the implementation of people’s mastery rights in all fields. The NA Chairman highly valued the results of co-operation between Vietnam and Belgium as well as between Vietnam and Wallonie in particular and expressed hope that bilateral co-operation will be boosted to a new level.
Chairman of the Parliament of the Wallonie Region Jose Happart congratulated Vietnam on its great achievements in the renewal process. He briefed NA Chairman Trong on the results of working with the NA Committee for External Affairs and the NA Committee for Economics and Budgetary Affairs. He said he believes that Vietnam will make further headway towards international integration.
