They discussed measures to strengthen bilateral cooperation in politics, diplomacy, economics, trade, investment, education, health care, culture, sports and tourism. They also touched upon measures to increase cooperation between their foreign ministries and countries in international forums.

They exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern, including the global economic crisis and solutions adopted by countries to ride out the storm.

Mr Cuong informed his guest that National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong will make an official visit to Belarus on April 29-30.

Mr Aleinik began an official three-day visit to Vietnam on April 7.
