The Vietnamese Ministry of Defence supports the initiatives of the Lao Defence Academy and will ask the Vietnamese Defence Academy to help its Lao counterparts.
Vietnamese Defence Minister Phung Quang Thanh made this statement at a reception for General Thoong-lopi, head of the Lao Defene Academy, and other Lao guests on their trip to Vietnam.
Thanh affirmed that Vietnam always welcomed Lao teachers and officials to exchange ideas and experiences.
He said the Vietnam Defence Academy can help Laos with staff training, information technology, and technical training, as well as doctorate level training for Lao defence officials.
