Vietnam attaches great importance to creating propitious conditions for Australian businesses to invest in Vietnam, affirmed State Vice President Truong My Hoa.

The State Vice President applauded the cooperation between Victoria State and ministries, agencies and localities of Vietnam while receiving a delegation from Victoria State, Australia, headed by governor David de Kretser, in Hanoi on May 15.

Ms Hoa spoke highly of the Australian government’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) for Vietnam, saying that the Australian-funded projects have yielded positive results, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.

She also highlighted prospects for cooperation between the two countries, particularly in economy, trade, investment, education and training, and tourism.

She said the two countries needed to foster their cooperation to tap their potential for their common benefit and for peace, stability and cooperation in the region.

For his part, the governor highly valued the friendship and cooperation between Australia and Vietnam, which he said has seen considerable development in various fields. He also expressed his wish to enhance the cooperation between Australia’s Victoria State and ministries, agencies and localities of Vietnam.
