President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations Vu Xuan Hong received a visiting delegation of the Australia-Vietnam Friendship Association, led by its president Paul Noak, in Hanoi on July 18.
Hong expressed his wish that the visit would contribute to strengthening relations between the two countries and the Australia-Vietnam Friendship Association would continue to support Vietnamese Agent Orange victims and Vietnamese children.
Paul Noak said that since the association was established in September 2010, it has actively supported the National Fund for Vietnamese Children and families of Agent Orange victims while assisting the exchange of culture, education and training between Australia and Vietnam.
He pledged to boost cooperation with Vietnam’s friendship associations and improve relations between the two sides.
While in Vietnam from July 17-20, the delegation is scheduled to work with the National Fund for Vietnamese Children and pay a floral tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum.
