Vietnam’s Nhan Dan (People) newspaper opened a booth on Vietnam in the “ World Village ” area of the French Communist Party’s L’Humanite newspaper festival, which was held in France from September 12-14.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Le Kinh Tai said the festival has become a venue for social activists, politicians and everyone who wished for a better society, a world of peace, solidarity and development.

The Vietnamese diplomat affirmed that Vietnam always places importance on the multifaceted cooperation with France, considering it a prime partner in Europe, and expressed his belief that the relationship between the two countries will be further developed.

The festival was held for the first time in 1930, and has now become an annual event at La Courneuve Park in the suburb of Paris.

This year’s event included exhibitions and seminars on social issues, world security and national solidarity with the participation of French politicians and scholars.

The festival’s music and entertainment programmes also attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors.
