A high-level Vietnamese delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh has taken part in the Vietnam Executive Leadership Program (VELP) at Harvard University in the US.

The event took place from February 13-17 as an annual exchange program organized by Harvard under the auspices of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

This year’s program focused on the global economy, restructuring global finance, planning macro-economic policies, and climate change – challenges and opportunities for Vietnam.

The Vietnamese officials exchanged views with leading US experts on these themes.

During the program, the Vietnamese delegation visited the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and met with overseas Vietnamese, including students in Boston.

Talking to the students, Deputy PM Ninh said that Vietnam needs high-quality human resources, especially those who have studied and worked abroad and affirmed that they will get worthy positions when they return to the country.

While in the US, the Vietnamese delegation visited Omni Parker House, where President Ho Chi Minh worked between 1911-1913.
