Ms Hoa said the company has produced high-quality dairy products for domestic use and export and earned higher profits, contributing to the State budget as well as ensuring stable income for more than 4,000 staff and workers. Vinamilk better carried out social work and provided support to the poor and children in remote and mountainous areas through charity activities.
Vice State President Hoa emphasized that apart from improving quality, diversifying products and expanding markets, Vinamilk should pay more attention to developing domestic materials, helping farmers to increase dairy herds in order to have 50 percent of domestic milk materials in the next five years.
In 2006, Vinamilk’s turnover increased by 16.9 percent, budget contribution rose 24.1 percent, and profits went up 20 percent compared to last year’s figures. Vinamilk spent VND15.8 billion on charity work in 2006.
