Vice President to attend Global Summit of Women
VOV.VN - Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh will lead a Vietnamese delegation to the Global Summit of Women (GSW) and have bilateral activities in Australia from April 22-28.
The visit is made at the invitation of GSW President Irene Natividad, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang on April 19 in Hanoi.
The GSW is an important forum to promote gender equality, enhance economic empowerment for women, create opportunities for cooperation connectivity and expansion, and uphold women’s role in each economy and the world.
The Vice President is planned to give a speech at the opening ceremony, meet leaders of Australia and the states of Victoria and New South Wales. She is scheduled to visit some economic and education establishments, and meet overseas Vietnamese and businesses in Australia.
