At the conference, delegates reviewed the results of the third Conference of the 7^th VFF’s Central Committee and activities in the first half of this year while devising key tasks for the remaining months of 2010.

They also reviewed the respective 15-year and 14- year status of “All people build a cultural life in residential areas” and “Day for the Poor” campaigns.

Over the past six months, VFF Chapter at all levels achieved practical results in the first half of this year by carrying out action programmes from the last conference.

The VFF chapters continued to reinforce the bloc of great national unity by intensifying movements to celebrate the 1000^th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and other national anniversaries. They also joined local Party congress at all levels in the lead up to the 11^th National Party Congress, improving the quality of the campaigns “Follow and Study President Ho Chi Minh’s Moral Example” and “Vietnamese use Vietnamese goods” and promoting friendship and international cooperation.
