Vanuatuan President Iolu Johnson Abbil stated this at a reception for Vietnamese Ambassador Hoang Vinh Thanh in Port Vila capital on September 11. 

The president affirmed his country will make every effort to step up cooperation with Vietnam for mutual benefit. 

He also underlined important contributions made by the Vietnamese community in Vanuatu to the development of the country. 

Ambassador Thanh expressed hope that the Vietnam-Vanuatu friendship and cooperation will continue to grow and flourish. 

He called on the Vanuatuan Government to support Vietnam in hosting the 15^th Summit of the Francophonie in 2014.
