US Military Attaché pays tribute to Vietnamese heroes and martyrs

VOV.VN - Colonel and Military Attaché Thomas Stevenson and Chargé d’Affaires Christopher Klein led a delegation from the US Embassy to the Bac Son Monument of Heroes and Martyrs to lay a wreath in tribute to Vietnamese people who gave their lives for their country.

The visit was held in order to mark Vietnam’s War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27, according to a post made on July 28 by the US Embassy in Hanoi on its official Facebook page.

“The US is committed to continuing war reconciliation efforts and growing our comprehensive partnership with Vietnam,” it stated.

This isn’t the first time that a US Embassy official has commemorated Vietnamese citizens who sacrificed their lives for their homeland.

Previously, Colonel Thomas Stevenson laid a wreath at the Monument of Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son street in Hanoi on July 27, 2020, in commemoration of fallen Vietnamese soldiers.
