Provincial authorities said they are making thorough preparations for the upcoming Party Congress at all levels and promoting the movement “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral example”.

K’sor K’ron, Secretary of the Gia Lai provincial Party Committee, recalled memories of his meeting with Uncle Ho a few times during the past war against US aggressors. He affirmed that the ethnic minority groups in the Central Highlands are always loyal to the Party and actively take part in following Uncle Ho’s teachings.

*** An incense offering ceremony has been held at the Kim Binh historical site in Chiem Hoa district, Tuyen Quang province, to mark President Ho’s birthday.

Fifty-nine years ago, President Ho used to live and work in the Kim Binh revolutionary base where he successfully organised the 2^nd National Party Congress in 1951.

Participants in the event pledged to strengthen solidarity, boost socio-economic development, promote national construction and defence, and build a strong political system. They will also continue to implement the movement “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral example”.

*** At a meeting held in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho, participants highlighted the huge contributions of President Ho to Vietnam’s revolutionary cause and recalled Uncle Ho’s good sentiments toward the South. They pledged greater efforts to upgrade infrastructure and increase local economic growth in order to turn Can Tho into a central hub for southwestern provinces.

On the occasion, municipal authorities also honoured outstanding young people and Party members who have made great achievements in various fields.
