The course, organised by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration, will last for three months.

During the training, 17 Lao officers will study various modules on Marxism and Leninism as well as the ideology of Ho Chi Minh in order to get a better grasp of the theoretical underpinnings and practical basis of the policies and political guidelines of the party and state of Vietnam.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Academy Le Quoc Ly said the training course is part of the bilateral cooperation agreement between Vietnam and Laos and it helps strengthen and promote the special friendship and solidarity between the two nations.

Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Soothorn Xayachack reiterated the importance of the cooperation in personnel training and management between the two parties and states and highly praised Vietnam’s support for Laos in the area.
