Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Phu Trong has stated that in the process of national construction and defence, the Party and State consistently pursue a policy to bring into full play the strength of the entire nation.
Mr Trong made the statement while paying a pre-Tet visit to the northern province of Ninh Binh on February 11.
On behalf of the State leaders, he conveyed Tet greetings and best wishes to dignitaries and 160,000 parishioners in Kim Son district.
The NA Chairman expressed his pleasure at the solidarity of the local parishioners who have worked together to create a better life and develope their homeland.
For his part, Bishop Nguyen Nang briefed the Chairman on their production and life and thanked the Party and State leaders for their due care.
The provincial economy achieved 15.3 percent growth last year, with its industrial and tourist sectors growing by 26 percent.
During the trip, the NA Chairman met with local officials and paid homage to Kings Dinh, Le and Ly, and visited Bai Dinh pagoda in Hoa Lu district.
