The Party leader made the request while delivering a speech at a ceremony to mark the 65th anniversary of the Vietnam National Assembly held by Thai Nguyen province on January 6.
Mr. Manh spoke highly of the province’s great socio-economic development efforts which he said are worthy of the revolutionary tradition of the former “resistance capital”.
Over the past tenure, NA deputies in Thai Nguyen have enhanced their capacity and high sense of responsibility, making effective contributions to legislation and supervision work as well as participating in deciding the country’s major issues, he said.
The General Secretary said that right after the 11th National Party Congress, they should actively prepare for the 13th National Assembly election and People’s Council elections at all levels.
In the context of the country and the world facing many difficulties and challenges, the Thai Nguyen authorities and people should co-ordinate efforts to ensure the province’s comprehensive development, he said.
On the occasion, the Party chief extended New Year greetings to all cadres, Party members, war invalids and families of martyrs as well as people of all ethnic minorities throughout the province.
During the 2007-2011 tenure, NA deputies of Thai Nguyen province have actively participated in different activities and held 239 meetings with around 30,000 voters.
They have received some 2,000 citizens in charge of complaints and helped speed up the settlement of 778 letters of complaints.
