The Late Party General Secretary, Le Duan, was not only a brave and staunch communist, an outstanding leader and an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh but also a lover of traditional performing arts such classical drama, popular theatre and renovated theatre.

A symposium entitled “Late Party Secretary Le Duan with national cultural tradition was held in Hanoi on April 5, drawing the participation of 50 professors, doctors, researchers and relatives of the late Party leader.

20 out of 30 reports presented at the symposium focused on analysing Party leader Duan’s thoughts on national cultural tradition and highlighting women’s role in the society.

All papers presented at the symposium will be published in a chronicle named “Le Duan with national cultural tradition” illustrated with the photos of the Party leader’s meetings with heroic Vietnamese mothers, students at the Hoa Binh Ethnic Youth Boarding School and children at the Hanoi Children Cultural House.
