The event marked the 60^th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

At the opening ceremony, the chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations, Vu Xuan Hong, and the President of the Chinese People's External Friendship Association, Chen Hao Su, emphasised that the Vietnam-China friendship fostered by late President Ho Chi Minh and late President Mao Zedong 60 years ago, has been developed into comprehensive strategic partnership.

Vietnam-China ties are a valuable asset treasured by both peoples.
